A good writing day today. I wrote plenty of backstory, some of which will never been seen by the reader, but I needed to write it to know where the story begins.

It helps to know how our killer evolved and why they kill. Now I have enough information to begin the story.

*The Rough Draft Challenge went as expected and I reached 10k writing and edited 30 chapters. That's a win!

Traditionally, among writers, November has become National Novel Writing Month or NaNoWriMo for short. The aim of writers during this month is to get words on the page, 50,000 words in a month to be precise.

This year, rather than sign up for NaNo, I have decided to try The Rough Draft Challenge--the brain child of the author Sarra Cannon.
